You might've seen a story we posted earlier this summer about our Nail Breakers team here at Partners + Napier. They've been busy fundraising and working on the home that's being built for Venita Brown and her kids, doing everything from installing ceilings to filling giant holes in the ground (can't have any of those around where a house is being built!).
After all this hard work, the Nail Breakers are $3,000 short on their $6,000 fundraising goal, so we decided to throw a little summer cookout and silent auction to help bridge the gap.

You're invited to join us on Thursday, August 25, at 194 Mill Street for what we're calling "Hots for Humanity," a catered cookout to benefit Flower City Habitat for Humanity. The folks at Zweigle's® made an amazingly generous donation of almost 500 hot dogs, Italian chicken sausage links, and spinach and feta chicken sausage links to the event – and all of these tasty dogs will be grilled up and served by Uncle Ralph's Steakout and Barbeque.
For a $5 donation, you can party with your neighbors at Partners + Napier, enjoy a delicious catered lunch, and feel good knowing you're helping a local family build a new home.
The silent auction, to be held inside, will feature great items like a MIAMI Citizen Bike six-speed folding bicycle (www.citizenbike.com), designer sunglasses, restaurant gift certificates, and handmade pottery. We'll also do some raffles during the auction for cool prizes.
Both events will start at 11:30 a.m. The cookout will run until 2:00 p.m. and the silent auction will run until 4 p.m. So bring your friends and bring your appetites! We'll see you on Thursday on August 25 for some good old-fashioned summertime cookout fun.
